The Specs are identical, I am guessing that the Bird is a lighter car.

RE: WTF
I use to have a 96 Firebird with just Flowmasters and when I would race a car like yours I would usally beat it by 1/2-1 car. The Firebird is for sure geared up better then the Monte. Try to go from a stopnext time, I know at 10 mph myFirebird would pick up real good but if I went from a stopand didn'tlaunchIwould get pulled away on in first and have to pull them down. 2000Monte Carlo SS is 3391 lbs. and the Firebird is 3370 lbs. So about 20 lbs lighter, not really alot.

RE: WTF
he he he i love doing roll starts with these little hondas and stuff, even w/ some of the fire birds and camaros... i mean my car is good from a dead stop... but with that much power i usually just end up w/ no traction... so we start at a like 10 15 mile roll on and i keep it in drive for about the first 3 seconds of the race, just to let them think they will win, then drop it to first and go FLYIN past em...

RE: WTF
I did thatwhen I was driving the 66 Mustang last. It is a 4 speed and was crusing and this 5.0 pulled up next to me and I was in3rd and we both punched it and we were neck and neck for like 2 sec. then downshift to 2nd and I was gone all he said we he pulled up next to me was nice.
