Default noob (w/ a prob) help...

Hi fellow Monte Carlo enthusiasts! I'm Frank, got an 06 MC LT a few months back. Lots of plans for it when the money starts coming in. My problem is I've been letting my mom use it (yup dumb idea) and my siblings have broken the upper release for the seat back on the driver side. I was wondering if this is something I could fix myself and I thought I'd ask before just trying.

Hi `Frank,
Delayed Welcome to the MCF.
Sorry that you are having a problem with your 06LT.
Is it still under factory warranty ?
If so, have the dealer fix it. (Defective Part)
If not under warranty,
I would still take it to your dealers Service Dept & get a
estimate, & what is involved in the repair.
If it's a low repair cost ? Have them repair `it.
If not, you will know what is needed to do the `job.
Hopefully another MCF member with knowledge of this
problem will also post a suggestion/solution.
Wish you good luck, from `Space
