And Harvick will probably win more! Oddly, Junior seemed to win more when he was less popular. Even Jimmie Johnson isn't very popular (in terms of being a fan favorite or merchandise seller). And Danica Patrick is popular. Seems like you can't have both - win races and sell merch. Almost inversely proportionate...

Dale Sr. is the one who started the merchandise frenzy. My other comment is now that Harvick is running Budweiser and Kurt Busch is running Pennzoil #22 things will be confusing all over again. Takes a few weeks to get use to a new season. I once had a Gordon Monte but couldnt stomach the image that I was a Gordon fan and had to sell it off. At least you Junior fan are keeping yours despite being a Gordon fan. Nioce cars either way. Haven't seen any Stewart versions on here yet.

There does seem to be some inverse proportionality to it this thing. The more popular, the ****tier you drive!!!

Darrel Waltrip won the most popular driver award for the first time in 1989. He had won his last championship in 1985, and 1990 was the first year he did not win a race.

Bill Elliott won the most popular driver award many times in the 90's... how many races did he win in the 94 McDonalds car????

Dale Earnhardt was never voted the most popular driver until 2001, and given that award posthumously. When Gordon was hated and booed, he won championships. I was at Charlotte in '09 in the fall when e was racing Jimmie for the lead late in the race... I never heard so many Jeff Gordon fans in my whole life!!! Jimmie won that race...

I remember that old school white scheme for Junior. It was a "one off" at MIS in 2006 on Father's Day. It was actually a tribute to Jr's grandfather Ralph Earnhardt. And I was there in attendance with my father.

Well, this one would certainly be what we're talking about. At least it is supposed to be a tribute to Sr. Like I said, Harvick has denied his car is

I love this thing:

The only person I can recall on this forum who was a very active member was a guy named Josh Wismer, who went by "WizKidd" and had a Stewart Monte Carlo. He sold it due to life changes that required 4 door cars though!! He now drives a Magnum R/T.
