7th Gen ('06-'07): What Strut's For 07'SS
#11
Yes #171661 is Monroe's front replacement for the car so you'll be good. From what I've seen/heard, Monroes seem to be a pretty good strut replacement to go with.

Rock Auto is showing KYBs, Sachs, Monroe and AC Delco. The fronts seem to be common for all wheel sizes, but the rears are showing specific wheel sizes (ie.for the KYBs Part# 339148 GR-2 / Excel-G Rear; w/ 17 inch or 18 inch Wheels, but KYB Part # 339015 GR-2 / Excel-G Front). Same part numbers are shown for the 2006 SS (not called out as an SS, but 5.3L engine size). These are all bare struts, so there may be some difference in the assembled struts due to changes in the actual springs used for the different sized wheels, or different suspension tuning for the SS.

I just had these installed. I'm thrilled with the difference!

Wouldn't be my choice. The body is already sitting way too high because of the rims.
