Default 01 Springs/shocks??Strut mounts?

Hello.... This is my first Post! I own A 2001 Monte Carlo SS Silver with 18's and basically stock! I want to lower the car using the Eibach Pro Kitsprings and And KYB GR2 struts.. My question is... isthere a better way to go for a mild frame drop and and solid suspension? And if i go the route i planned will i need to get the strut mounts or wil the KYB's Mount to the stock strut mounts?

yah, all aftermarket struts whether they're kyb or monroe are designed to fit up to the factory mount...now its not very expensive for mounts if you actually need them...but it can get a little pricier to do all 4, but since your buying struts you may as well spend the extra hundred bucks and get all for mounts new as well...then you dont have to worry about anything down the road

First off thanks for the responsewiz kidd..!! They want like 60 each for the KYB strut mounts on the KYB website.. I thought thats like the same as the strut wow thas crazy.. Wonder if i should just go and try to get the stock strut mount? The car has 97,000 m on it so i think you make a good point to save future trouble with the mounts and just get theme but i was let down at the price of the mounts being equal to the shock...

wow...check an auto parts store for them...because i sell them for 35$ ea and thats cdn...thats just the fronts though...looks like the rears aren't available for me through mevotech (same part #'s as moog..just put an m infront of the part #) all thats available for the rear are the rubber bushings that go in the mount...

but still...fronts are something i would look into...rears probably aren't as bad...but dont pay more than 35 bucks for them

part # mk6521
moog part # k6521 (but these are like 4 times the money..and completely not nessesary)

Thanks again for the knowledge man.... I will take it all it to consideration! I seen some of "Rchrurch's" pics with the Eibach springs/KYB struts, but was wondering if anyone knows of any members or places where i could see how the fender well looks over the wheelwith the lowering setup with a like Monte? That would be awesome [8D]! Still in the deliberation phase on what to do... Any knowledgable info would be appreciated!!!

Default rusted rear upper strut mounts

I have a 95 monte carlo. I was gonna replace the rear struts when I noticed tje upperounts were rusted. Is the a repair kit or plate that can be welded or bolted on so I can replace tje struts. I really like this car and dont want to scrap it. But I do need an inexpensive repair. Any help would be great thanks.
