I would try this first before investing in a new switch.
This has for me as well, but it always comes back. I really do need to get a new switch...

this happen to me on a 01. replaced the hazard switch and it worked great....for like 2 weeks then it did it again. I said to hell with it and bought a cheap hazard relay. I cut the acc wire that runs to the hazzard switch harness and hooked it from there and spliced into the purple wire on the hazard harness. and bam working blinkers without worry. and it killed the drl lights which was a bonus. BUT if you do this you have to find a new acc wire for your radio. I just ran that to the hazards acc wire i clipped.

Mine did the same thing!
I did (push the flasher button on-off for 2-3 years now). Finely it went totally nuts and started flashing all the time and the buzz was constant.
I put in a new Flasher switch and the right turn signal still keeps on going and going. I am going to replace the Multi switch as read previously about the problem.
Curious though as my old flasher switch never lit up before and now it does with the new one installed.
Great Forum for the guys that like to fix there own.

Default At a loss with the turn signal issues

I was having similar issues with my 2004 monte carlo. Directionals were sometimes working. Sometimes blink once sometimes they wouldnt at all. I had gotten a new directional switch. Still the same issue. So we changed all the bulbs checked relays checked wires cleaned 2 grounds in front. Replaced fuses. We have no idea what to do next. Its been sitting for a few weeks and i really need it. My flashers work fine. Help please....

I also had this same issue, turned out the emergency flasher was bad not the switch.

Yes my flasher worked just fine. I seen a different thread on it and checked mine. Figured I damaged my signal switch from removing column numerous times. I guess it'sbecause it's a 2 part switch instead of 2 separate flashers.
