I just bought a 1997 Monte and when I turn the left turn signal on it flashes real fast and does not cancel out after a turn.If I pull back on it real easy it flashes normal but still does not cancel out.When I hit the brakes with the left signal on the only brake light that works is the third brake light.Any ideas on what the problem is. these gen cars have a re-occuring prob with the turnsignal. it is very commen. your turn signal switch is bad. your 3rd brake like is a on a seprate circut to the main brake lights... that is why it still works. you will need to replace the turnsignal switch. should have been a recall. but never happend.
