Tire Rotation & Tire Pressure Sensors

Tire Rotation & Tire Pressure Sensors
On the 2006 MC SS, is there a way to reset the TPS after a tire rotation. The Firestone tech put in too much tire pressure in the front left and I left out air to bring the front left even with the front right at 30 PSI. The backs were both at 31 PSI. After letting air out, the tire pressures in the front stayed the same and the rear left was down to 29. Does the sensors retain the memory of where they were previously on the car? I know this sounds like a dumb question, but I just don't see how after letting air out of the front left, your rear left is the one that shows lower pressure.

Yes it is the first paragraph on pg 6-45 of the owners manual. You can find a copy here: http://mymonte.com/tech/manuals/2000montecarlo.pdf
Basically have the key in the on position... you can do this with the car running as well.
Pull the head light switch out 1 click so the parking lights are on, then turn the button clockwise till the dome light comes on and then back so it turns off. Do this a total of 3 times. with about a 1 second pause between each one.
