To be honest if your trying to keep your costs down, if you have a local junk yard or pick-n-pull type of car parts place you can get the calipers for about $25 per pair. Use the stock size OEM Monte rotors.

Here is some info from a MCF forum post:

If you really want an "upgrade" do an "F" body conversion on the front with cross/slotted and Hawk pads with SS lines. You go from a single piston iron caliper to a double piston aluminum caliper and double the pad surface. Anything else is just cosmetic.

~F-Body Front Brake Upgrade~

Calipers from CarQuest WITH Bracket (you can probably cross-reference these at another parts store if you are lacking a CarQuest):
#18-4692 LH (Camaro RH)
#18-4693 RH (Camaro LH)

Banjo Bolts and Knuckle to Bracket Bolts from GM
#22163795 (X2)
#18023646 (X4)

Steel-Backed PTFE Sleeves from McMaster-Carr
#6679K16 (X4)

Front Pads of your choice for a 98+ Camaro or Firebird.

I considered the dual piston F-bod caliper upgrade. I actually pulled a part like Greg mentioned form a local yard. After a lot of thought, I sold the calipers and just got some good pads, rotors and the braided stainless flex lines. I'm all good with that

But if I were to do it, I'd recommend Greg's route, get some salvage, rebuilding calipers is not that big a deal and you can still be money ahead. To my knowledge, you just have to drill out the hoses on the bracket that hold the caliper bracket to the spindle and minor tweek to the bracket holding the flex line or a slightly longer flex line.

You need the F-body bracket for the f-body calipers..

You have to drill the F-body Bracket because the W-body uses a bigger bolt then the F-body..LOL

I used my stock rotors you can use stock brake lines all you need to do is bend the brake line bracket to give the line slack.
you need for drill/tap and parts you need to get for the swap. the pic is of a F-body bracket.

I installed 2002 Camaro calipers on my Monte sunday 12/30/2012
Love the looks an the stopping power , Its not hard to do, nice mod..
