Default Popping/Clicking while turning

Well, my problem didn't get fixed like I thought. I took my Monte to the dealership and they said the popping/clicking noise was a strut bearing going out. I replaced both struts (they had 115k miles on them) and was hoping it'd be fixed.

WRONG

So, I can't figure this thing out now. Whenever I turn, I hear this loud popping/clicking noise and feel it. It does go away sometimes but then it'll come back. Can anybody possibly help me so I don't waste more money? lol

Usually that's an issue with CV axles failing, but I think newer Monte's had a steering rack recall or something of the sort

I told the mechanic I thought it might be the CV Joint, he immediately said strut bearing though. I still think its the CV Joint aswell and just had someone hold their hand on it while I jacked the car up and back down, and they said they felt it pop (and you could clearly hear it)

You should tell the mechanic you want the labor and diagnostic fees back, as the problem still persists.

I would lean more on CV shafts. When people mention popping/clicking sounds when turning, it does appear to be CV shafts almost 100% of the time.

Well I've gotta get my car aligned now, and I'll ask those guys what they think when they get into it. I'm pricing CV Joints. Anybody know the best place to get these kind of parts? or best brands?

Rockauto.com has everything from AC Delco OEM for $185 to reman A1 Cardone for $41. Personally I've had good luck with the Cardone Select parts which have a limited lifetime warranty and are like $48.
