I am currently in Kuwait and left my 2004 Dale Jr. SS at home. My buddy was taking care of it and he e-mailed me to say the car flat out will not start. I am thousands of miles from home and won't be getting back anytime soon. Can someone PLEASE let me know what the problem might be? I'm worried it's something with the passlock system or ignition cylinder. I'm not home to know what's going on and that car is my life so can someone please help?

you're best bet with u being out of the country is to have him take it to a shop and have them fix it and then pay him back.

 

Random question if its in a garage or at your home does it matter that it will not start until u get back?

 

Will it even crank? Too many variables here... Could be anything from a dead battery to a bad sensor somewhere.

 

Is your buddy driving the car or just starting it periodically? Maybe have him log in and answer some questions for us. It will be easier then trying to diagnosis it through you. Like others have said it could be about 100 things.

Thank you for your support in this matter everyone! My buddy got it started. I heard a rumor that with the Passlock system if you use the key to open the door you have a certain amount of time to turn the car over or the ignition will lock. Is this true? On a better note I just bought a HID kit for my car. I can't wait to put em in. Enjoy your day and info on the Passlock system will be appreciated.
