Yep i feel like i made a mistake buying this car too... The ride is horrible at 14 deg.. That fe4 suspension is harsh... And the struts i got for rear feel like they sank on height too.

I just had the same problem that you were having with putting the steering wheel up and the lights not working. It turned out there were wires touching on the back of the multi function switch. I moved then around and now it is fine.

Did you change out the dash switch assembly or the multifunction switch on the collum to fix your problem? I am thinking about just wiring the power up to the fog lights until I can figure out if it is the multifunction switch or the dash switch assembly.
