Hello everyone, I'm Pedro, still relatively new to all this and have a 02 monte carlo. It is 3800 V6. I had a question regarding the throttle body. Its leaking gasoline from this lines that are connected to the throttle body. I marked it red. My engine light is on and I believe this is the problem. I found this picture in another forum but its the same. Is it possible to just chane the lines or do I have to replace the throttle body? I dont like pulling on stuff I dont know very much and dont want to break it even more lol
That's pretty common. The cause of the issue is the fuel pressure regulator (the circular metal object in the top left of what you've circled - with the rubber 90 elbow on it that hooks to one of the lines).
The diaphragm inside has torn which is allowing fuel to get past into the vacuum lines which can cause drivability issues as the engine is now able to suck in gas constantly that it isn't intentionally dispensing via the injectors.
Luckily the fuel pressure regulator is cheap and easy to replace - your local parts store should have them on the shelf. Make sure you de-pressurize the fuel rail before you remove it (via depressing the Schrader valve on the fuel rail), but its maybe a 10 min job.
I'd replace it ASAP though as this is partially tied to exploding intake manifolds (although the explosion requires an ignition source such as a backfire, etc).

Vehicle owner was lucky that happened at a shop. If that happened to them out in a parking lot somewhere, they'd have lost the car. Or worse - if it happened in their garage and they weren't quick enough to get an extinguisher before it really took off.
