Default Need help troubleshooting

I recently bought a 2007 Monte Carlo SS and there is what I think is a coolant leak somewhere down below in the front can’t find where yet. It’s kicking coolant up onto the fan belt. It hasn’t overheated at all, stays at normal temps. I’m wondering if I should flush the radiator and replace the hoses or I also seen someone talking about a similar problem in a 06 Monte and everyone was saying probably water pump but I’m not sure what I should go with.

First thing you should do is rent/borrow a coolant system pressure tester from the parts store and find the leak. It could be many different things. Blowing parts at the car hoping you get it right can be rather expensive.

I agree. Find the problem rather than just guessing and shotgunning parts.

It can also help to do a quick cleaning of that part of the engine before you test it, especially if theres a lot of dirt and grime built up.

Water leaks are very difficult. They could come from top of engine and be leaking on to the belt. Harbor freight sells a good pressure tester set up

I went and got the pressure test and it ended up leaking from the bottom of the water pump.
