First you may want to doctor up that K&N HAI. It does not do a great job of keeping hot/ambient engine temps away from the air intake. It has a big opening where the snorkel comes into the box, no lid and the box is thin steel (steel transfers heat real easy). Go to Home Depot, pick up some insulation material that looks like bubble wrap (It's like $10) and an adhesive that will bond to the insulation AND the box and line it with that stuff (tightening the opening where the snorkel comes in). And you may want to get a piece of plexi and make a lid of some sort. This will improve the K&N HAI to be more of a CAI.
Next, decide what exactly you want to do and get out of the car. The 3800 Series II has a LOT of options available (and a lot of us have been there, done that in different areas). I've got a bunch of mods under the hood of my Monte. They give me more pep and more lasting performance consistent through the power band. Makes for a fun ride. I do need to get a CAI (I'm thinking the Wizairded CAI sold at ZZP).
If it helps, take a look at my performance mods at my web site:

Hope that helps a little.

300whp is a tall order. Stock, an L67 powered W-body puts down about 190-200whp. So, we'll figure that the K&N intake added about 2whp, and as you can see you have a LONG way to go. It is doable though. Check out this link for info: https://montecarloforum.com/forum/en...-bumpin-24896/

ZZ Performance
^^^
You can probably find that type of gauge cheaper, but that's a good one for reading a lot of parameters.
