Default Intake manifold gasket brand?

Hi All,
Gearing up to replace the intake manifold gaskets on my 2001 3.4 engine. I know a lot of people have used the Fel-Pro (PermaDryPlus) gaskets for the repair but has anyone used the Victor Reinz Premium MIS12629WB kit? I've found many good reviews for other cars but not much on the 3400 engine. It comes with all the misc gaskets and also manifold bolts and would be a better deal instead of ordering the misc gaskets separate with the Fel-Pro.

I also saw some posts saying the Dorman gaskets are actually rebranded Fel-Pro's but checked with them and they said they are not.

Thanks for any opinions/advice you can give.

My feelings, go with the FelPro metal LIM gaskets and never look back.

I don't have experience with the others, but many people have had very good results with the FelPro metal gaskets.

Thanks for the feedback. I will be going with the Fel-Pro PermaDryPlus. The Victor Reinz MIS16259WB kit photos sure look like the gaskets are metal but I finally got a reply back from Mahle Corporation that distributes them in the US. Their package kit was a better deal but I want the metal reinforced so I'll just order the other bolts and gaskets separate.

Original Inquiry:
Can you tell me if the LOWER intake manifold gaskets in the Premium Victor Reinz MIS16259WB kit are metal reinforced? Oreilly Auto parts didn't know and AutoZone said "maybe". Also, do these gaskets require any different torquing or would my Haynes repair manual figures be accurate? Thank you for your time.

No, if you are referring to the FelPro or Dorman style, that are metal reinforced. They are a premium material that stopped all the GM gasket failures when we made the move to them some 8-9 years ago. Use the factory spec for torque. We have built in steel load limiters to prevent over tightening them!
