Nothing to do with our beloved montes but..........neighbor has a `95 blazer. Shut off while driving and will not restart. Cranks good but does not fire. I`m thinking the ignition module. Any ideas??? Thx...4.3 liter with EDI ignition?

 

You need to check for fuel pressure and check for spark at the plugs when it starts acting up. Simple enough to check spark just pull off a boot and see if it will arc out to a ground when cranking.. fuel pressure you need a gauge to accurately check.. aren't very expensive. should be able to pick one up anywhere.

 

It could be a Passlock security issue, but that would be reaching for it. If it is you will not hear the fuel pump kick in. Might want to goto a junk yard and just pull a new ignition and key to test with.
