heater quit working

Default heater quit working

on my monte when i first got it the heater was making a loud grinding noise.now has quit working or is but just barely blowing any air where i cant feel it.any thoughts thank you

I had the same problem... but im not sure if it will portain to ur older monte....

On mine, I had to replace the blower motor and the resistor.

Mine all of a sudden quit working on me one day, and mine also squeeled like a *****.

sounds to me you need a new blower motor

it probably is the blower motor but before you buy one you could run 12 volts to it directly and if it spins hard then the motors fine.

blower motor . do to the age of the car i would go after that first. if you still dont get heat out of the car then it will be the baffelding. but the most comon thing to go is the blower do to the bearings can go out at any time of its life. what i mean is it can go with in 1 month to 25 years so i would go after the blower.

alright thanks guys next chance i get ill look at the motor and run the 12v to it.
