Has anyone really ever fixed a P0440 evap code

thanks for the help autozone told me i would have to drop the tank i know autozone dont know what they are talking about half the time and yet i keep going back....lol i think its time to fined a new auto store to go2

No problem man. The link provided by WannaMCSS is the same link that I used to fix mine. I didn't have to remove the wheel well liner though.

I would quit relying on an auto PARTS store for advice. They sell parts, they don't fix them. You'd be amazing how much a SHOP will help you out with questions you need answered (within reason).

Unhappy monte carlo wont start

will the evap purge valve cause the car not to start? pls let me no

No. It won't cause that. Perhaps the Solenoid would though. That's a different part, located under the hood. Are you getting any codes or a CEL?

I take it that this might keep your remote starter system (gm factory installed) from operating?

Just from experience, ANY CEL causes the factory remote start from operating. 99% sure about that.

you are right Miller, yes it does prevent the remote start
tried it myself when my CEL was on
says in the manual as well
