The electrical problem list keeps on growing
i have a 2002 monte carlo ss that i have had for 7 years. about a year ago i was having issues with battery drains, lights staying on when the car and the key fob not unlocking the doors, i brought it to a chevy dealership and replaced the BCM with a refurbished one, all problems were solved...until recently. i'll list them in chronological order...
-key fob wont unlock passenger door
-interior lights do not turn on when door opens (does manually)
-heads up display does not display (sunroof still opens)
-rear lamp fuse blows randomly @ night
its becoming quite frustrating and im leaning towards the BCM has crapped the bed once again, but am hesitant because of the cost to replace, can anyone else throw me some opinions? thank you

have someone run an electrical diagnosis, it could be your fuse block. My 2000 SS had the same problems, since my passenger side fuse box wasn't working properly. It cost about 120 to diagnose at my dealership, and then another 600 to get the work done.

Sounds similiar to problems my car was experiencing a couple weeks back. Ended up being the BCM, Matt had to have it towed to the dealership, New BCM install and reflashed by them.
From his email to me:
I did find the problem with the AC recirculate and fresh air lights staying on as well as the random no crank caused by the security system, drained battery. The BCM (body control module) had failed. Unfortunately it failed completely right when I needed to start the engine for the first time after installing the turbo. The BCM does need to be programed by GM so I got to go on a tow ride to Larry H Miller Chevrolet to have the BCM reflashed so the engine would crank and start. So I started the car for the first time in LHM Chevrolet's parking lot. Lots of fun.
