6th Gen ('00-'05): driver side heated seat problem

it is most likely a broken wire on the left side of the seatthat is were you put the most weight getting out of your car .I would happen on passenger side if somebody rode with everyday.You have to peel back the seat cover and the broken wire will be near the back of the seat.Just splice a new piece of wire first slide a piece of shrink tubing on the solder a new piece of wire in place slide tubing let cool for a minute or two then slide tubing over the wire heat shrink test and put back together. I found it easier to take the seat out.
