driver side heated seat problem
Ok so here's the deal my fuse for the seat warmers keep blowing out. I tried to see which one was it. New fuse; passenger side...nothings blows seat warms up. I cut that off and put the driver side on....burning smell no warm butt. Fuse finally gives out. Is there any reason why this keeps happening? Its been 14 degrees here in philly and I need them in my life right now lol

Its resistive heating, so probably got an issue in the heating element in the seat. Im not sure if its changable. It could be a short too though... where is the burning smell coming from?

Btw, If its taking awhile to pop the fuse Its most likely in the seat itself. Trying to remember how resistive heating works exactly.... Could be shorting between two points in the element.

well no the first time it took id say 10-15 secs for the fuse to pop, the second time it was basically instantly, and if this this seat warmer is broke on the inside i think its a lost...dont think im ready to fix something like that

I doubt GM has any "repair" instructions for the heated seat electronics. But... Knowing GM, the heated seat tech is probably the same between cars. Below is a link from the Bonneville guys on repairing a heated seat in the Bonnie:
