Default Cooling system

I have a 2000ss 3.8 and laley it started leaking coolant from the resivour bottle. I run it and it stays cool and when I park it it starts making boiling noises from the resivour. and leks the coolant. I was wondering if its the fans or the thermostat. If anybody can help...

If the car runs at normal operating temp but deposits coolant into the overflow when shut off I'd have the radiator cap tested to make sure it is pressurizing the system.
