Default Cleaning 3.8 throttle body, need help!

Hello I have a 2003 monte ss with the 3.8 and am trying to remove the throttle body to clean it up. I have everything removed except for the bottom left bolt that holds the throttle body on, there is a bracket attached to the thermostat housing and there is not much room to fit even a wrench in there. Anyone have any tips? Thanks!

I was able to get the nuts with a socket driver and 10 MM socket with an extension. I assume you are referring to the front most nut on the bottom? I didn't find it difficult at all to get to. I used a 3 or 4 inch extension and a small ¼" driver. Worked perfectly.

I don't know how much room you have to work with but would something like this work? A retired mechanic neighbor introduced me to them and they've helped me deal with some pretty tight spaces.

It's a pain to get that bracket off. Fyi once off that bracket is not needed and don't need to be reinstalled. An open wrench should get it but it will take a while do to the cross over being there.

x2, it takes a while to get it loose, but I did it with extensions and small hands lol

Don't add the bracket back when you put it back on

you can grind the bend off the bracket and reinstall it. It is a pain.
