I just fired my car up from a having driven about 5 minutes for an errand. I received a "Service Traction Control" message, "Reduced Engine Power" message, and some grinding sounds. I pulled over and turned the car off. Looked under the hood and there was not anything obvious. I attempted to start via the remote start while in the car. Sounds weird, but that's what I did. Dash flashed the engine light and didn't start. I put the key in to start it. Nothing, except I also could not get the key back out. The car had no power.

After about 10 minutes, the power came back and the key released.
