Default Cannot figure out where the other side of this hose goes

Someone, please help!

I was replacing the air filter in my son’s 2001 monte carlo. I disconnected the air intake hose and replace the filter, but after I reconnected everything, I notice this smaller hose had come loose from the other side. I have looked and looked and cannot figure out where the other side of this smaller stiff hose goes. I’ve looked over the internet and I don’t know the name of this hose either.

Please someone, HELP!!!

Thank you,
Alan

That hose connects to the rubber air duct and the other end goes into a grommet on the back valve cover (under the coil pack bracket). It's not uncommon for it to sit a little loose as over time heat disfigures that grommet.
