Help please. I have a 01 ss with 140000k miles on it. It runs about 3 quarters of the way to the red line. If your standing over it looking at the fans the left side will run. I believe that is the a/c fan the right fan I believe is the fan to cool the engine and coolant. I may be wrong and thats ok as well. I can't get the fan to run on the right side no matter what I do with the ac or heat or windshield defrosters. I have been using the heat to offset this problem but with temperatures rising it's becoming critical to fix. Don't have much money to have it in a garage. There are no puddles of coolant anywhere but I had to fill coolant for the 2nd time in 2 months. Fan squealing sometimes when it kicks on on the left side. Right side dosent kick on what do I do?

 

Fans are a 2 speed fan style, they both run at same speed at same time, low speed is at lower temps (180 to 200ish if I remember right) and high speed is at 200+ or when a/c line pressure kicks it on.

If one fan won't kick on it needs replaced.

Actually it's the tempeture sensor the fan runs if I wire it directly to batterey so I have a project next weekend. Had a buddy check it out. I could still be wrong but I'll let u know how that goes
