6th Gen ('00-'05): Is this a better intake upgrade?
I was looking at the inside of the fender well just before, & it looks like a good medium sized filter will fit. But the longer the intake tube, the longer it takes for the air to reach the engine, basically making no extra power to what the original makes. Also, with that long pipe sitting in the engine bay its just going to collect heat, making that fresh cold air hot.
Also, if you do decide on going in the fender, invest in a filter screen to prevent water from coming in. something like these... Injen Hydro Shield, Air Intake Shields
well..not specifically those. I've see cheaper.

i think imma keep the tubing because i have noticed a difference but i deff will get a filter that fits just into the well, but not deep into so i dont run into it. i think some spectre ones will do nicely they skinny and also pretty size. i should of just built my own instead of spending 30 on the intake i ordered (the first intake pic)
