Default BELT TENSIONER

I have a 2003 M/C SS and I need to replace the water pump. It looks pretty easy except how do I loosten up the tensioner on the serpentine belt. I did not see a slot for a half inch breaker bar. Thanks

Should be a 1/2" square in the bracket of the tensioner for the breaker bar.

Thanks for the reply. I just went out into the garage and there is no square 1/2 inch breaker bar slot to relieve the tension. Any other thoughts from anyone else?

Try putting a socket on the center of the pulley. 14 or 15mm, it looks like. Rotate the tensioner counter-clockwise on a 3.8L, clockwise on a 3.4L. Per Haynes manual.
