Just so you know, Delco batteries aren't the greatest. I've replaced about 5 batteries on 08 that haven't left the lot yet!!

i've had great luck with them (delcos). we have a van at work here that has one going on 10 years now and still tested out fine the other day. i've dealt with numerous gm vehicles (of my own, family, and friends) and they have been very good to me. granted, if you work at dealership you see lots more vehicles than i do, plus, maybe delco changed something in 08 that is making them less reliable. in my experiences, i have not heard many complaints about them.

A battery can go at any time unfortunately. It's not a fool proof item. A lot of times you can get them with a 3-year warranty which isn't bad, but they can still go, you just dont' have to worry about paying for the new one :P

I always just keep a set of jumper cables and a small ratchet set in my car, just in case.

Battery strap helped a lot and I loosened the fusebox and those inches made all the difference!

i dont need to change mine yet even though it seems like my monte is starting slower and slower for a 07. it has a delco in it and my 98 has its original in it. 11 yrs for that dont know why the difference between the batterys other than delco is made by johnson controlls which is a consumer groop that makes every thing. delco was made by duglas battery co that makes interstate batterys and advanced batterys and batteries plus battery
