07 Battery Change?
Hey Guys,
I have a 2007 Monte, and am really frustrated with trying to change this battery. The way its tucked into the fender makes it very difficult to remove. Does anyone know of an easier way of taking it out then having to remove the fuse box that looks to be blocking it?

Battery Replacement ALready on a 07 : (
Hi `Ryan,
What model is your 07 Monte ?
Is it still under factory warranty ?
Is your present battery dead ?
How long has your Monte been in service ?
We have several members that will help when they
read your post, but `if you are in a hurry 2 put a new
battery in ? I would suggest calling your local Chevy/GM
dealer & talk to the Service Manager, or one of the tech's.
I have found that most are helpful, and will share their infor.
Also, several parts stores can advise.
Be Patience & check back and I am sure a member with
a 06-07 will provide assistance.
Wish you Good Luck and Great Starts in your 07 Monte.
p.s. tell us more about your Monte, and post some pic's
after you get your battery change : )

just curious, but why are you changing out your battery on your 07?? delcos are good batteries that last a LONG time. but yes, if it's a warranty issue and your other one crapped out on you for some reason, i understand.

I never give a battery more than 3 years before I replace it with a pro-rate equivalent for about $16. Any battery will most definitely have a burnt out cell at about the 3 year mark and anyone reputable dealer will pro-rate under those circumstances.

My battery came from the factory with a battery blanket. I am sure that works in Canada, but I bought it came from an Arizona dealer. Probably not a good thing to have a blanket on your battery in 105 degree weather.

I have replaced the battery in my '07 also. The fender to core support brace must be moved out of the way first or taken off completely - that will give you more room for removal - a battery strap would also be handy because it will allow you to manuver the batter much better than if you used your hands. It attaches to the posts and you can lift it with the handle that you have not created. Hope this helps.
