My 06 3.9L has the remote start and when I turn it on through that or just put heat or a/c on it makes a loud clicking noise for a few mins. And stops on its own after that....souns like a motor idk if it is a motor how much is it to replace?

I've never had that happen with my remote start etc, I wonder if it could be a bad actuator motor type issue between heat/ac with your car, trying to get the climate controlled to the correct setting when remote starting? Does it happen when you don't use the remote start?

The actuator that switches between circulating air and fresh air can be damaged over time and will need to be replaced. Try switching between the two and it will make that noise. Good luck!

This also happened to my monte and the temp actuator on the driver side was replaced under warranty. Since then my fresh/recirc actuator part has done the same thing and no longer allows outside air - time to sue GM - any lawyers out there? there are 4 p.o.s. actuators on my car and 3 have destroyed themselves in 4 years.
