Default 05 gone crazy electrical

just this morning i started the old monte just fine and started driving her to work. i tryed to turn up the radio and founds thet none of my radio buttons on the wheel worked. then i noticed a ding that happend every 40 seconds or so. i parked it and went to get some things done. when i came back to it i cheacked the fuses behind the drivers door and then nocticed a relay clicking from the pass side and my temp and tach gauge were pulsing. i found the "back up LP relay" clicking right along witht the pulsing so i took it out and am charging the battery because it is dead . if all the sounds crazy enough the tach and the speedo are pulsing now. it is less frequing about every minute and 20 seconds i dont have any idea what could be going on. all this is heppening when the key is not in the car. any help or suggetions would be appreciated. thanks

Try unhooking the battery and hooking it back up. Worth a shot.
