Mines a sealed box as well, mostly listen to Dubstep, but like rock and deathmetal as well, this handles all very well. The Kenwood I have, has a bass remote that's handy to adjust as needed. Body messages are awesome!!

Like some of the others have stated, a sealed box will be considerably smaller.

Here's mine. I'm running one 12" Alpine Type-R, in a custom sealed box I built, paired with an Alpine mono amplifier mounted to the back of the box. The amp is hidden, on purpose, but easily accessible by folding the back seat down. The box is mounted to the cross member under the rear deck with two L brackets and overhangs the spare tire well by about four inches. I can still remove the spare cover and tire without moving the box. I designed the box and setup this way and it works well.

Thanks. Yes, removing the back seat gave a bit more working space but I took it out mainly to run the wiring.

This is the exact same custom box and setup, as above, when I had it in the 03. I repainted the box black when I installed it in my 06. The box's internal volume is within Alpine's recommended volume for the 12" Type-R in a sealed box. The first picture gives the best size relation of the box to the trunk.

Hey STUMPMI, Dig it, love the way you can designate the amount of bounce!! Those are 12" subs, kinda hard to tell from the pics! Amp is a Kenwood KAC 8151D, 1000 watt, does the trick, bet yours REALLY sounds killer, mine is jumpin' and you have 3000 more!! Head unit is stock with the 6 speaker and 200 watt amp. Rock on!!
