Anyone ever install leather over plastic ? I want to cover my speedo bezel with black leather and want to know how hard leather is to work with. How the spray cement works, how to stretch the leather etc...if anyone has covered plastic with leather, please post a pic or two... As well as how you did it... Thanks a ton....mjc....

Hey so Sam had leather applied over his plastic bezel as in the photo. A good adhesion primer, precut the leather close to the actual fit and trim accordingly as you are installing the leather. Use a wood 1" wide roller to imbed. A contact cement was used to adhere.

Thanks for the pics n description... Do you know how think the leather needed for all the contours of the bezel? It's gonna be a lot of work, but I think it would look great.. I want a red leather step down the middle, and do the passenger side bezel as well... Then to bring it all together, the back seat armrest in red, and the door handles in red leather... I think that would be just enough.. Not to much, but a nice touch of the red.. But it all depends on getting the speedo bezel done right...lol... Thanks again...mjc..
