Default Stereo Help PLEASE!!

Well, Im finally gonna hook up my old pioneer. Ive been saying it forever now and just found the cheap harness. I do have some questions though, hope somone can help. And yeah, Ive been searching for about an hour now with no luck on the specific answers so...

Instead of buying that $70 harness, I just wanna do the wiring myself, I wanna bypass the amp, but hopfully use the same wires that are in the amp. What i mean by that is, take the speaker wires that go INTO the amp and put them into the speakers instead, can this be done??

Next question is, as long as I have all the settings I want done before I take out the stocker, Ill be good right? I dont mind loosing the chime and I can reset the oil/tire moniter with the lightswitch right? But, my fob will work, the lights will stay on for the set amount of time, the fob beep will stay the same, I just wont be able to change the settings of said features without the stock radio in right??

And, I think I read this earlier yesterday, but does somone know the color codes for the wires in the stock amp? If theres already somthing on that, could you give me the link?

Other than all that^^^^, is there anything I should be concerned with?

And one more quicky, do you reccomend me using the DIM feature on the pioneer? Is it easy enough to get behind the headlight switch and how do you go about doing it in these cars??

Thanks alot, and I think if these questions are answered, it will end ALOT of posts with the questions I just posted seeing as its what most people are confused with and the whole radio relocation harness.

Thanks alot

I recommend using at least a unit with a beeper box to mentain chime allerts, it's pretty self explanitory from there. orange is the color of the wire that is wired into your DIM lighting, but most after market decks wont dim anyways.

It does, I had it on my last car where when you hook it up to the same switch it dims.
But nobody else can help me out with anything else??

if anyone ever needs to know what the wireing is behind the stereo is just send me a PM. Also, if you need to know how to bypass the amp in the trunk I got that down too. What I mean is, cutting the wires in each harness of hte amp and hooking them up so it plays throuhg the stereo not the amp.
Just send me a quick PM and Ill let you know
