Unhappy Please help me with my aftermarket stereo install!!

i bought a dual xdm7615 for my monte carlo as well as the wire harness to install. i hooked up the wire harness with all the correct wires (im pretty sure). there are 2 orange wires and a red wire left that dont have anything to connect to. the harness has a red wire but when i first connected those two and plugged everything in the stereo wouldnt turn on, the face plate moved a little but the overall head unit wouldnt turn on. so after it didnt work the first time i strip the wires and tried all the connections again (this time not connecting the red wire) and the same problem happened. what do i do this is extremely frustrating.

you need to run that red wire over to your fuse box on the drivers side, I personally would recommend using the power window fuse so it turns off when the windows will. You will not have door chimes or warning chimes either - I recommend getting Metra's correct harness that will have all the data interface and accessory power if you don't know what you're doing.
