Default Sirius through stock head unit?

Hi all. I've got an '04 SS with the factory in-dash CD player. I know satellite radio was offered as an option for this car. What I'm wondering is if I buy a Sirius tuner, can I run it directly to the stock head unit without buying a seperate receiver to mount to the dash?

Thanks!

Okay if I get XM Radio this summer I will get XM rather than Sirius. I have the in-dash CD/Cassete player. Can XM be ran through this if i get the antenna?

I have a Pioneer and it is XM ready. Kenwood is Sirius i believe. Not sure what all the others are, it should say right on your faceplate if it is satellite ready. all you need is the antenna and call to activate it. Sirius cant be put into GM stock units cuz they have a contract with XM. If i was to get either of the two i would get a Sirius reciever and heres my reason.... HOWARD STERN CHANNEL (i think he has 2 channels). you cant hear him in XM otherwise they are pretty much the same.
