That's not true. 04MonteLS has that harness is his car and he said he got all sorts of electrical problems as stated above BUT THAT WAS WITH THE FACTORY DECK OUT OF THE LOOP. According to his build log, he bought a relocation harness, relocated the factory deck to the glovebox and is still using the GM09SR box with his aftermarket deck with no problems. He never made mention of either of the problems you mentioned, not to say that they don't happen as well as much as it is to confirm that the one's you mentioned aren't the only problems associated with the harness in question WHEN THE FACTORY DECK IS REMOVED FROM THE SYSTEM.

I bought a Scosche GM2000 interface at Walmart for $40 and so far it is working well, the chime sounds a little different and at first the interface was making static sounds until I wiggled the plug on it but now its fine. And no problems with the car either

I am using the GM0S9R and am not having any problems thus far. Got it from Sonicelectronix for 57 bucks.
