Default Problem with A/C system

Hi guys, I have a 2002 Monte carlo SS and the drivers side air conditioning is blowing warm compared to the passenger side. I'm assuming the blend door is faulty or not closing completely or the climate control slider is bad. Has any one else run into this issue? How difficult is this to repair?

Regards,
Mike

You could also have a slight leak in the AC and freon is getting low.

The passenger side is cold so I know it's not a freon problem since it's a single system.

The driver's side can be warmer when the freon is low.

It could also be the blend door, I'm just letting you know before you do the work if you want to just get the system checked

A/C problem
I have the same problem. Cold air only from the passenger side vents. And not always.??
The compressor is working (motor undulates)

This thread was last used in 2012. Many of the people have not been back on this site in years. I would suggest starting a new thread about your issues and have active members chime in.

This may be an old thread -- but some of the old responses have sure helped me.
For me, the difference between the diriver and passenger side temps was due to low freon. Had leak fixed and refilled --- working great since.
