Default Grand Prix GT Seats in a monte?

Hey guys, I was sitting in my sisters, boyfriends car, which is an 04 I think, grand prix gt, and it has some nice, comfy, supportive seats. Would it be possible to swap seats? I wonder if they will fit? I know I can get a decent set from a junkyard and of course clean them up lol but would they fit?

Any seat you want can fit, you just might have to do some bracket work :P

Chibi is correct. I think i have heard that grand Prix seat brackets match up but i could be very wrong. You can always use the gt brackets and mount those to your car if you really wanted them.

I wanted these seats before because I love them. It seems like they do bolt up. I wanted both seats heated/ power though. Money was an issue too haha.

I know the 6th gen Monte and the '97-'02 (I think that's the range) seats install the same way (I've had to take one of my Monte seats out once to clean a pop spill and I took a Grand Prix seat out at a junk yard, same mounting).

The only issues I see is making sure you get a Grand Prix seat from a 2 door model, this way it has the lever to flop the seat forward, from there the next concerns are if the plugs for heated seats/power seats are the same AND I would assume the dimensions of the seat carriage (were it attaches front and back) are the same.

My question is if you have cloth seats already in your monte, would you be putting leather seats from the grand prix in the front only, and would the leather seats from a grand prix gt for the back even work or owuldnt oyu have to get leather rear monte seats and then do leather front seats from a grand prix gt?

I'm pretty sure both the fronts and backs are easy to drop in.

ok cool that was just a thought. I was wondering if the seats from the rear of the Grand Prix would fit properly. Don't know much about the Grand Prixs I was formerly a big Grand Am GT person.
