Hmm maybe I shouldn't have installed the DIC (I could have hurt the fact I had a somewhat unique monte, ss, cloth seats, sunroof, no. DIC) lol.
But Chibi is right, that single switch on my roof panel was the sunroof switch.
My brother in law who helped with this project thinks the DIC gm made for these cars is awesome. He kept saying it was a shame I did not have this installed before the gm nationals, I told him no one would notice, they'd assume it was factory.

Looks just like factory. That is odd you not having that stock. I thought mine was weird not having leather seats but cloth seats in my ss. I have a friend with an Ls and it looked weird with no dic.

You'd be surprised, I've seen a few Montes in the junk yard with out the DIC option. Adding it is not hard (but man, I was sweating BUCKETS Sunday doing this, it was being cramped in the back of the car and no air flow).
Retrofitting factory options to improve a car is great. My brother in law says I need to figure out how to add one to my Grand Am. I don't think the space is there to do it
Plus, it would be a lot more work finding where to tie into to make it work (granted, it would be a cool accomplishment).
One down side, my garage door open programs to the Homelink but considering it was made in the 60's/70's, it doesn't work
Oh well, next house
I just added pics to an earlier post of the DIC I put in the wife's Impala.

Nice Jason, you are a mad man, looks like a lot of intensive work. But wow, it is totally worth it. Only you would try and take on a project this complicated. Good job!!

Thanks Greg! As I mentioned, I did not pioneer the retrofitting. BBEngineer was nice enough to post everything someone needs to know on his site about doing this. I just followed along
But it's cool to have this feature now!!
When I first bought my Monte, the previous owner put an aftermarket rear view mirror in that had a temp and compass read out under the mirror. I really liked it, but as odd as it sounds, I think the mirror was a possible source of an electrical problem (never confirmed).
So now I had a non-auto dimming mirror (which I prefer) and only map lights in the mirror and the DIC gives me everything else.
