Default Driver Information Center console - how to remove to check switch

Hi everyone.

Whenever I either open or close my sunroof on my '04 intimidator, the mechanism seems to pause at times which requires me to fiddle with the switch until the connection works again and the sunroof starts to move.
I'm guessing at this point that the switch might be bad or worse yet, the motor.
How easy is it to drop the DIC from the roof to check the internals?

Thanks in advance.

You may just need to grease the sunroof tracks a little.

That alone could cause some of the hesitation while either opening or closing?

If something in the track prevents it from moving completely it could pause, and then you'd have to try to close it more.

It's happened with normal windows, why not a sunroof? Isn't expensive to try and should usually be done anyway.

Ok. Failing that, how easy is it to pull the DIC from the headliner?
