Default Dash Lights

Alright, I pulled apart the dash on the 84 to fix the lights behind the dash. I got them all to come on but there not that bright. Some of them are (like 2 or 3). One of my turn signals are steady on and the other one might be blown but all the other ones are really dim. I need some help!!!!

and yes I checked the dimmer ****!!!!!!

Default RE: Dash Lights

Sometimes the turn signal being steady on signifies a wiring problem with one of the marker lights (blown out bulb or bad wiring). Also make sure all the lamps you installed are the same wattage, There are multiple lamps that fit in these holders. I believe the 194 (not sure) are the higher wattage lamps. To improve the over all display when everything is reassembled, take the plastic and the reflector panel Important: do not clean or touch the display with the numbers on the face, as they will wipe off or distort. On the back of the reflector panel you will notice that it is a pale blue in color. Paint this either white (what I did) or silver. I did these modifications on my 83 Grand Prix gauge cluster and it is brighter then my Autometer Tachometer and Speedometer. Be careful the higher wattage lights do make the plastic panel warm while driving, not a problem for as I do not use the car on a daily basis.
