Default Convert Onstar To Bluetooth

Since onstart has so nicley turned off analog for our Montes, I would like to do what I have seen others with other types of cars do. They have converted the onstart mike, button, and sounds to work for phone with bluetooth. They say it lets you use the bluetooth button to answer and start calls, microphone for your voice, and puts sound through your speakers. It even lets you use the steering wheel control for volume. Has anybody done this, and do you know what it takes to do. I am just wondering.

Haven't heard of that but sounds very interesting. Anyone know about this?

I actually just looked up some more info on the internet. Apparently there is a device from a company called costar. You just unplug the cable going into your onstar system in the trunk, and plug it right in to the device and WALAH. It cost like 325 but I might think about it. Might do some searching and see if I can find it cheaper from amazon or somthing. At that price though, I might just stick to the old device that I got that cost me 25 bucks LOL. Check out the link below.

I've heard of a device called "BlueStar". When I originally saw it, I felt it was very expensive. Not sure if it's still around and what the cost is for it.

Bluestar is the device that is made by Costar. I found it for 200 on Amazon. Still a little pricey for my budget though when I can use the little bluetooth speaker I got for 25 bucks

That sounds pretty neat but I would rather buy an aftermarket radio that I can do phone calls with. You could but a radio that does that plus much more for around that same 200 dollar price tag.
