WELL.... i was going to get a V6 mustang for my first car, but my parents flipped when they found out it has rear wheel drive (Indiana winters are terrible).

so it looks like I'm getting a monte later this year. I looked at the specs on em and they look pretty good.

If anyone has any advice for me, go ahead. It's probably gonna be a 2003 LS monte, I want one in blue. I plan on getting a K&N air intake kit and flowmaster 40 muffler right off when I get it; not to mention oil change and new fuel filter.

well monte v6's are girlie so you did the right thing

 

If I had to do it over again! I would get the ss with 3800 engine in it. 3400 you can't hardly do anything with them.

 

lol well the v6 mustang and the monte can pretty much go toe-to-toe power wise, so I think I made a good choice. And the FWD will only help during winter.

o and btw dont take it too seriously when I bash stuff....as you all see, I can be a hypocrite at times

Ya the 3400 is a solid engine that gets very good mpg and with some mods can make more hp. The 3800 has alot more power but gets worse gas mileage. There are alot more aftermarket items for the 3800 than the 3400. Then theres the s/c 3800 which totally rocks and I wish I had one.[sm=gears.gif]

 

i dunno i get better milage in my monte witht the 3.8 than my mom does in here impala with a 3.4

 

maybe mom has a heavy foot? lol
