best NON HID bulbs?
#21
I'm running Silver star ultras for lows and love them. They are very bright, but don't blind oncoming traffic. Now that I have them I hardly use high beam. I had them in my old bonnie for a year and half which had daytime running lights and drove 50,000 miles and they were still working when I traded it in

If you want to be able to see and not annoy the heck out of other drivers you'll rethink what you want. However, if you want really really blue... I recommend 230943532800000K.
And to add something worth while to this thread, I've read decent things about MTEC bulbs.

my monte is a straight show monte so i want the look of it to suit my opinion and money, its the 3.4L LS model so performance mods are kinda pointless in my opinion, considering a civic si is pushin 197 from a n/a 4 banger and the 3.4 is a v6 pushin 180
other than that, 8000k is legal (round here) and actually looks pretty good, anything above 8000k is kinda pointless.. and i dont really care about other drivers too much, i respect people's cars dont get me wrong (check post under "respecting others cars"), but im gonna sleep just fine at night

I know when I bought some $7 blue tinted bulbs off ebay. I instinctly got a short in my headlights and right now today (with the factory bulbs in place), the short is still there. So buyin off ebay is my LAST RESORT. Dont get me wrong though, the lights did look good once installed but I REAP from benefit of it. LOL BIG TIME!!!
