The SilverStar Ultra bulbs are great, the ONLY issue with them is that they don't last that long because of the increased light output. If they were made for my car (they aren't available in H11 size) I'd buy them in a heart beat.

im thinkin about HID's tho, anybody know what kelvin makes them REALLY REALLY blue on the monte? hit me up

I have Nokya cosmic white bulbs with upgraded KYO harnesses.

Much better than stock and not nearly as much as a HID kit. Also, it's becoming very annoying to drive at night around these parts with all the HID kitted cars and trucks driving around. Most of the time, the lights are misaligned and annoying as hell.

If you want to be able to see and not annoy the heck out of other drivers you'll rethink what you want. However, if you want really really blue... I recommend 230943532800000K.

And to add something worth while to this thread, I've read decent things about MTEC bulbs.

That would actually be purple and not give off any light.

I have SilverStars also on mine. I just got rid of the DRL. Been on almost a year and no problem.

i did quite a bit of research on this topic a while ago and found some piaa bulbs that put out the most lumens and looked pure white with a small tint of blue. as soon as my silvestars burn out i'm gonna try those.

The downfall to the SilverStars is that indeed, they are known to not last as long as other halogen bulbs, though not sure how their latest line stacks up. They may not be the ultimate best bulbs out there, but I have Wagner TruView bulbs in my GP, a marked improvement over stock! I havent gotten anything but the standard halogen in the Monte yet

That sounds interesting. I had PIAA driving lights on my Mini Cooper S and I loved them - they make a good product. Keep us updated. I only paid $15 for my Silverstars so if they burn out quick I might be in the market for other bulb options too.

They definitely helped visibility out greatly. I installed them in my GF's Cavalier as well.
