These so called 'HID' bulbs online... which is best?
Hi everyone.
Well, after having purchased the Eurodezign bulbs for my '04 MC, I was a bit disappointed with the light output. Sure, it went from a yellowish light to a whiter light but, for the output level, it seems to be the same as the stock bulb, maybe a little less actually.
Now, I'm not in the market to switch the headlight to a true HID setup (which would run close to 2 bills) so I'm looking for opinions on whether or not these so called 'HID' bulbs are even worth the purchase.
If so, which one would you recommend and what color (I have the 8500k on mine). I see the Silverstars on tv and they seem to put out a lot more light but they are2-3 times the cost I can get on, say, ebay for example. Maybe it's a case of you get what you pay for even though they claim online that you get more light and visibility (I haven't found that with these Eurodezign bulbs).
So.... what have you tried that really works on a 6th gen MC short of actually converting to a true HID setup?
Care to share your experience?
Thanks in advance.

i have a 5th gen but its close to being the same. the closest you'll get to hid without going hid is to get a set of clear lenses and the silverstar ultra bright bulbs. but then again you're gonna be looking at close to 2 bills. so pretty much the silverstar ultra's in your stock lenses are bout the best you're gonna get without spending some cash
hope this helps

short of going to HID's, HIR lights are the best i've found so far, i've seen other comparision pictures of them being brighter than the regular silverstars, they're brighter than my old phillips hi-vis too. i think the brightest incandecents are going to be between: silverstar ultras, HIR's, and the new phillips xtreme.
