Default Alternating Blinkers (ala Cougar, new mustang)

So, I was driving into work and saw a new mustang infront of me. Each tail light is split into three sections, and when they braked, or used a turn signal, one section would light up, followed by the other, followed by the other.

On the 6th and 7th gen montes, the taillights are split into two sections if I'm thinking correctly. A top section, and a bottom section.

Would it be possible to have these alternate with the blinker on?

I've actually looked into it. It would be cool if it would do this from top to bottom. But, if you recall, our tail lights only use the bottom for brakes and blinkers. The top light is just statically lit.
